LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – A woman is in critical condition this morning after being found in the road Monday night, the apparent victim of a hit-and-run accident in downtown Las Vegas.
A motorist found the woman lying in the northbound travel lanes of Fremont Street south of Oakey Boulevard about 7:45 p.m. Monday. The woman had had severe facial trauma and was unresponsive. A large, broken, driver's-side mirror and other debris were in the roadway near the victim.
She was transported to Sunrise Trauma Center for critical injuries. Metro officers say a truck or large SUV could be the vehicle involved in the accident.
The collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD Accident Investigation Section.
