LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- Tanya Angus, who was diagnosed with acromegaly, died Sunday. She was 34.

Angus had been featured on a “Wake Up With the Wagners” segment in 2009, through a "Making a Difference" story. A local jeweler kept making her rings bigger for her as she continued to grow.

Doctors told her that she was the only woman in the world whose growth could not be controlled by medication.

“The Today Show” also reported on Angus.

Hi News3, Before you air tonight's report on Tanya Angus' life, would you kindly make sure to say that Tanya Angus suffered from a pituitary tumor called ACROMEGALY (not giantism or gigantism). There is a difference. It's why Tanya came forward to the media in the first place...making sure that people were made aware of pituitary tumors and Acromegaly. Thank you so very much, Tina (Tanya Angus' Godmother and webmaster)
