LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – A man was arrested Friday and charged with murder after a woman was found beaten to death in her motor home.

Dana Baker, 61, told Metro detectives that he hit Jennifer Evanson seven to eight times in the head with a heavy glass beer mug on Wednesday night at her home in the 3400 block of Las Vegas Boulevard North. About two hours later, Baker said Evanson asked him to call 9-1-1, which he said he did before grabbing some of his belongings and fleeing.

Baker said he began dating Evanson in June and moved in a short time later. Neighbors said they had been arguing on the night of the attack.

Baker is scheduled to make a court appearance at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
