BUNKERVILLE (KSNV MyNews3.com) — The crowd at a Town Hall Meeting Thursday night was overwhelmingly in support of embattled rancher Cliven Bundy.
They attacked the media for making them out to look like “maniacs,” and described the terror they felt when the Bureau of Land Management came in to take Bundy's cattle.
They also asked where Metro Sheriff Doug Gillespie was when the BLM came in to get the cattle April 5.
“I had snipers watching me, and they have no authority,” said Lillie Spencer, the sister of Cliven Bundy.
“It affected business owners because everything was shut down,” said Kellie Houston of Logandale.
Town board member Nephi Julien did express an opposing view in favor of the BLM.
The board voted to take no action but what it does want is an answer from Gillespie as to why he was not here when all this happened.
