LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – The Clark County grand jury this morning indicted a man accused of exchanging gunfire with Metro officers during a high-speed pursuit.

Joshua W. Bacharach, 30, faces one count of attempted murder with use of a deadly weapon; five counts each assault with a deadly weapon, and discharge of a firearm from or within a structure or vehicle; three counts of possession of a firearm by an ex-felon; and one count each of stop required on signal of police officer; resisting public officer with use of a firearm; and possession of a firearm with an altered or obliterated serial number.

According to Metro, an officer on patrol attempted to stop a vehicle just before 11 p.m. on June 26 in the area of Lake Mead Boulevard and Walnut Road when several shots were fired from inside the suspect vehicle.

The vehicle fled and continued firing as Metro Officer Ryan McNabb followed. He located the vehicle in the area of Carey Avenue and Dolly Lane.

As the officer approached the vehicle, Bacharach fired at McNabb. McNabb returned fire and Bacharach ran southbound into a neighborhood.

Arriving patrol officers and a K-9 officer located Bacharach on El Tovar Avenue. The officers gave Bacharach several orders to surrender, but he did not comply. A K-9 dog was deployed, and Bacharach was arrested.

Bacharach is being held at the Clark County Detention Center without bail. His next hearing is scheduled for 8 a.m. July 28.

Also indicted today was Ranjoseph Wallace, 25, on four counts of burglary while in possession of a firearm; three counts each of robbery with use of a deadly weapon, and attempted robbery with use of a deadly weapon; and one count each of robbery with use of a deadly weapon with a victim 60 or older, and child abuse, neglect or endangerment.

Prosecutors say Wallace was involved in three convenience store robberies of and that of a Mexican restaurant.
