LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) — It's the newest addition to the Las Vegas valley's ever-changing skyline, but what safety precautions are in place for the massive observation wheel at The Linq?

Officials say the High Roller is under constant security supervision and there are plans in place for just about anything.

If the power fails, a backup generator or a hydraulics system will keep the wheel spinning. Each cabin also has fire and heat sensors, and crews will clean them consistently to reduce flammable material.
