Metro seeks driver of SUV suspected in hit-and-run

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is searching for the driver of a vehicle that struck a bicyclist Tuesday night.

According to a Metro news release, the victim, Michelle Kantor-Hagarty, 46, was traveling eastbound on Lake Mead Boulevard in the storage lane and crossing over Christy Lane on a green traffic signal just before 7:55 p.m. A red/maroon SUV was traveling northbound on Christy in the right turn lane to eastbound Lake Mead and failed to stop for the red traffic signal.

It turned eastbound onto Lake Mead and struck Kantor-Hagarty. The SUV failed to stop and fled the scene eastbound on Lake Mead. Kantor-Hagarty was transported to UMC Trauma with minor injuries.

This collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD Accident Investigations Section.
