Crews battle fire at vacant home in downtown Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – Five engines were dispatched Friday morning to put out a fire in downtown Las Vegas.

Firefighters were called to a vacant home on the 700 block of Bell Drive, near Bonanza Road and Las Vegas Boulevard. It took crews 30 minutes to extinguish the fire in a neighborhood of older, one-story homes

A cause of the fire was not immediately known. Investigators continue at the scene. The neighborhood is directly south of the Reed Whipple Cultural Arts Center. Check back for updates.
