LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- Many of the national parks and memorials in Washington D.C. remain closed because of the partial government shutdown, and that could affect a group of Las Vegas veterans getting ready to take an Honor Flight to the nation's capital.
Organizers say they will not cancel the trips.
The National Park Service says the World War II Memorial will re-open, but others remain closed.
A group of 35 veterans are leaving Las Vegas next week on the Honor Flight. An additional group of 45 will leave Reno on Friday.
