LAS VEGAS (KSNV — An outage at Metro's 911 dispatch center leaves the department unable to process a portion of emergency calls for two hours Monday.

A spokesperson for Century Link, the telecommunications provider for the Call Center, said a technical error during an update is to blame for the outage.

Century Link says the 9-1-1 system is fully operational, and backups are in place.

The outage remains under investigation.
