LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – A teenager suffered life-threatening injuries this morning after he was struck in a marked crosswalk on Lamb Boulevard south of Monroe Avenue.
According to a Metro news release, the 17-year-old male was walking across Lamb Boulevard at 6:30 a.m. from west to east. A 2005 Saturn Ion was traveling northbound on Lamb Boulevard, approaching the intersection with Monroe Avenue.
The driver failed to yield the right of way to the pedestrian and struck the teen. The victim was transported to UMC Trauma Center. The driver, a 39-year-old Las Vegas man, claimed no injury and remained at the scene.
The collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD Accident Investigation Section.
