LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department continues to search for a man suspected in a robbery and beating that left the victim injured on the side of a road.

According to a Metro news release, the victim, a male, was walking between 3 and 4 a.m. July 4 in the area of Blue Diamond and Durango when he was confronted by the suspect in a vehicle.

The suspect exited his vehicle and proceeded to batter and rob the victim. He suffered substantial bodily injuries, was incapacitated and left on the sidewalk for a lengthy period of time until a bypassing citizen provided assistance.

The description of the suspect is limited at this time, but it is believed that he may frequent the area of Durango and Blue Diamond. Residents who might have been in that area during that time may have observed something that could prove to be significant to the investigation.

Images of the suspect and his vehicle were captured on a video surveillance system shortly after the crime. The vehicle is believed to be a dark colored 4-door sedan, possibly similar to an Infinity G37. The suspect appears to be wearing shorts and a short-sleeve white T-shirt.
