LAS VEGAS — Two topics are on tap for Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s upcoming First Tuesday: Teaming up with the community to fight crime and traffic.
Both topics will be discussed at Area Commands valleywide at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Each Area Command connects with the community it serves because it relies on engaged citizens to help keep neighborhoods safe, which is why this month’s topic is, “Partnerships with the Community.”
First Tuesday participants can learn about how to get involved with their communities and help improve the quality of life.
And while crime is always a major concern, the issue of traffic is a close second. Since announcing plans that LVMPD Traffic officers will change the way they deal with so-called fender bender car accidents, residents have questions. Representatives from the Traffic Bureau will be on hand with answers.
First Tuesday is an open house-style meeting held on the First Tuesday of every month in order to engage people who are participating with their police department. All residents are welcome.
