LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) — A dispute over a debit card was at the center of a Saturday night attack that left a Las Vegas man dead from a leg wound, according to new details released by the Clark County district attorney’s office.
Timothy Ryan Stall, 22, was scheduled for arraignment this morning at the Regional Justice Center.
Donald Dail died Saturday at University Medical Center from severe injuries sustained in the morning dispute at an apartment complex in the 200 block of North 9th Street, according to the report.
Stall was walking in a hallway to leave the building when Dail began arguing with him, telling Stall to get his debit card, according to the police report. Stall returned with the card, and Dail attacked him with a cane, investigators said.
Stall said he punched Dail to get him to “back away,” then broke a glass case that contained a fire extinguisher, throwing glass at Dail to “get him to back away.”
Stall said he heard Dail scream but did not know whether it was because he had stepped on broken glass or was struck by what was thrown at him.
Stall left the scene and was found in an alley between 8th and 9th streets between Ogden Avenue, according to police. He told investigators that he suffered from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and was attempting to protect himself.
