The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is searching for a man suspected in a homicide Thursday at a 7-Eleven near Palace Station.
According to a Metro news release, its Call Center received a 911 call just before 5:50 p.m. regarding a female shot inside of a vehicle in a parking lot on the 2600 block of West Sahara Avenue. Arriving officers and medical personnel found a female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to the UMC Trauma Center where she was pronounced deceased.
The investigation initiated by Metro’s Homicide Section indicated the victim stopped in a parking lot, when an unknown male entered her vehicle. As both the victim and male were sitting in the vehicle, a second unknown male drove up in front of the victim vehicle.
The suspect fired a single gunshot through the windshield, striking the victim. The suspect fled the scene, as did the unknown male inside the victim’s vehicle.
The suspect is described as a white or light-skinned black male. He was last seen driving a black, four-door sedan, without tinted windows, believed to be a Nissan.
