Woman killed outside crosswalk on Durango near Desert Inn

LAS VEGAS (KSNV – A woman was killed Monday night near Durango and Desert Inn Road.

According to a Metro news release, the victim, a 49-year-old woman from Las Vegas, was walking across Durango from east to west outside a marked crosswalk. A 2000 Ford Expedition was traveling south on Durango in the right travel lane, north of Paddle Wheel Way.

The victim entered the right travel lane and was struck by the front of the Ford. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.

This is the 46th traffic-related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction in 2014.
