LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – One person is dead and another is injured this morning after a shooting near Rancho and Bonanza.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says the call came in at 5:10 a.m. When officers arrived, they found one victim who was dead at the scene and another shooting victim who had gotten to a nearby convenience store. The victim was transported to UMC Trauma.

Metro patrol officers responded to the 2300 block of West Bonanza Road to investigate reports of a shooting in the parking lot.

Arriving patrol officers located one male victim suffering an apparent gunshot wound. That victim was transported to the UMC Trauma Center with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

Officers also located a second male victim inside of a vehicle in the parking lot suffering apparent multiple gunshot wounds.

That victim was also transported to the UMC Trauma Center and was pronounced deceased by medical personnel a short time later.

The investigation initiated by LVMPD homicide detectives indicated both victims had been involved in a physical altercation in the same location earlier in the morning.

The victims left the area but later returned. A verbal altercation between the victims and unknown suspect or suspects took place in the parking lot just prior to the shooting.

As of this release, no suspects have been identified. The identity of the deceased individual as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Anyone with any information about this incident is urged to contact the LVMPD Homicide Section at 828-3521 or to remain anonymous contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 385-5555 or online at Crime Stoppers of Nevada.
