LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – A man who barricaded himself this morning at an apartment on the 4600 block of Oakey near Decatur is in custody.

Metro Officer Bill Cassell says the situation began as a domestic disturbance Wednesday night at the Sandpiper Apartments complex.

Officers were not called to the scene until this morning after 9 a.m. A man, later identified as 28-year-old Darrion Webster, then barricaded himself in the residence. Metro said the situation ended around 12:50 p.m.

Because the subject has a prior criminal history and was possibly in possession of firearms, SWAT and Crisis Negotiating Teams were called in, Cassell said.

Webster was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center. Webster was charged with domestic battery with use of a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, coercion with force or threat of force and attempt to resist a public officer with a deadly weapon not firearm.
