Missionary imposter arrested in connection with robbery

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – Metro detectives say they have arrested one of the men suspected of robbery and assault while posing as Mormon missionaries.

LVMPD Robbery detectives arrested Abraham Austin, 28, on Friday in connection with a violent residential robbery June 27 in the area of Buffalo and Flamingo. He was taken into custody without incident in the 4200 block of East Craig Road.

Austin is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery; burglary with a gun; battery to commit robbery; robbery with a deadly weapon; battery with a deadly weapon; and two counts of first-degree kidnapping.

Detectives have identified the second outstanding suspect as Robert Estall, 25.
