“Whatever their problems or issues basic housing or any other issues they need to deal with,” said Arnold Stalk, founder of Veterans Village.
Veterans Village helps hundreds of our nation's servants inside a repurposed Econo Lodge Motel, serving as temporary housing for vets and their families.
“For many of the veterans it’s a respite, it’s a family here, it’s a community,” Stalk said.
The village feeds, clothes and helps the valley's 5,000 to 7,500 homeless vets -- people who have served our country only to come home to experience hard times. Stalk says the need will only increase.
“We don’t need to talk about it,” stalk said. “We need to build it.”
Here, nobody goes without help that comes from right here in southern Nevada. Furnishings are donated by casinos, and clothing is donated by citizens.
