LINCOLN COUNTY (KSNV MyNews3.com) – A Las Vegas man was killed Tuesday morning after a rollover accident on northbound U.S. 93.
According to a Nevada Highway Patrol news release, a black 2005 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Dexter Henry, 30, was traveling just before 3 a.m. on northbound U.S. 93 at mile marker 3 in Lincoln County.
Troopers say Henry allowed the pickup to drift right, partially leaving the paved roadway. He then steered the vehicle to the left, re-entering the roadway.
The pickup crossed the center line and Henry over-corrected, steering to the right. The pickup rotated clockwise while crossing the northbound lane and entered the east dirt/gravel shoulder in a broadside skid, where it overturned. Henry, who was unrestrained, was ejected. He was pronounced dead on-scene by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 4:50 a.m.
This marks Nevada Highway Patrol-Southern Command's 42nd fatal accident for 2014.
