NORTH LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – Six adults and six children were displaced this morning after a fire destroyed a home near West Lake Mead Boulevard and Revere Street.

North Las Vegas Fire Department Capt. Cedric Williams said the call came in just before 8:30 a.m. Units from Las Vegas and North Las Vegas were on the scene of the single-story residence in the 2000 block of Englestad Street.

Two dogs needed CPR because of smoke inhalation. Both pets survived.

Williams said a cooking accident may have started the fire. It remains under investigation.
