Expect a breezy weekend in the valley

LAS VEGAS -- Mostly cloudy and breezy with highs 63 to 68 on the west side of the valley and 67 to 72 on the east side on the final day of November.

News 3's Dana Wagner has more in his forecast for Thursday, Nov. 30, 2012.

Mostly cloudy tonight then becoming partly cloudy with lows around 50 and a southwest wind 10 to 15 mph with gusts to around 30 mph.

Partly sunny on Saturday with highs 62 to 67 on the west side of the valley and 66 to 71 on the east side. South wind around 10 mph with gusts to around 20 mph.

Lava won't chase out some people

Scientists of the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory conducted ground and air observations of the lava flow from the Kilauea Volcano and determined that it was 510 meters (560 yards) upslope from Pa-hoa Village Road and the flow width was about 50 meters (55 yards) at the leading edge.
