Smoke in the Las Vegas skies

LAS VEGAS -- The valley reached a high of 109 degrees but the focus has been on the winds and smoke from the Carpenter One fire.

Mostly cloudy Thursday with scattered thunderstorms. Highs 92 to 95 on the west side of the valley and around 100 on the east side. South wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of thunderstorms 40 percent.
