Machete used in convenience store robbery

LAS VEGAS -- Metro police are looking for two male suspects who wielded a machete while robbing a convenience store on Thursday May 22 in the area of N. Rancho at N. Rainbow.

According to Metro, the two suspects entered the store and walked up to the counter.

The Hispanic male suspect asked for a pack of cigarettes while the black male stood next to him at the far side of the counter.

The Hispanic male jumped over the counter while holding a machete and pushed the cashier to the rear counter. The suspect held the machete to the cashier's chest, and said, "open the register or you're dead."

The two suspects then took an undisclosed amount of money and fled.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, between 18  and 20 years of age and weighing about 140 pounds. He wore a green T-shirt, blue jeans, and had an Ace bandage on his right arm.

The second suspect is a Black male also believed to be between 18 and 20 years old and weighing about 170 pounds. He wore a black sweatshirt, blue jeans, a black baseball hat, and black gloves.
