LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A 66-year-old Las Vegas man accused of murdering his wife is in jail in Utah on charges he fled house arrest in Nevada and tampered with the GPS tracking device on his
ankle.
Robert Lee Marshall was being held without bail Tuesday in a Cedar City, Utah, after being arrested there Sept. 11 on charges of possession of a deadly weapon and fleeing from justice.
Records show a Clark County grand jury indicted him Friday on new charges of escaping custody and tampering with an electronic device.
Marshall told police he pointed a gun at his wife Dorothy in the couple's home Aug. 1 and told her not to be afraid, when it misfired and killed her.
Police have said physical evidence collected at the scene contradicts Marshall's story.
