LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on Friday, Sept 28 arrested James Epp, 45, in connection with a homicide on Sept. 17 in front of an apartment complex southeast of Jones Boulevard and Washington Avenue.
Metro had obtained an arrest warrant for Epps in connection with the death of William Fetting.
Epps was is described as a black male, standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 185 pounds. Metro says he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Metro patrol officers responded just after 10:50 p.m. Sept. 17 to the 300 block of Orland Street after receiving a call that a man had been stabbed. Officers arrived to find an adult male victim, later identified as William Fetting, 23, on the ground suffering from what appeared to be a stab wound.
Fetting was transported by medical personnel to University Medical Center Trauma where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene. An investigation determined that Fetting had been approached by two black male subjects and a verbal altercation and physical fight occurred just before the stabbing.
The other suspect is described as a black male adult, 25 to 30 years old, 5-8 and 190 pounds.
