LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is looking for a man suspected of an attempted armed bank robbery Tuesday morning near Fort Apache and Tropicana.

Metro says that about 11:10 a.m., the suspect approached a teller and presented a note demanding money. The note read in part that he would start shooting.

The teller walked away from the window, and the suspect chose to leave without receiving any money.

The suspect is described as a black male, late 40s to early 50s, 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing silver-framed glasses, a blue ball cap, a maroon, long-sleeved button-up shirt, khaki pants and dark shoes.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Robbery Section at (702) 828-3591 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit www.crimestoppersofnv.com.

Tips directly leading to an arrest or an indictment processed through Crime Stoppers may result in a cash reward.

Worromot: Just because the robber can not get to the tellers the new accounts people, loan officers, and customers are all in the open to be shot. It happened at a local bank with bandit barriers a women was shot who was a customer of the bank. The money can be replaced a life can not.

Did the teller do the right thing, most will say no, but I say yes. If there is no way the robber can get at you, why not, most banks today have bullet proof glass and are fairly secure from entry from the outside.

This guy did not even care that his face was caught on camera. When people are desperate, they dont care. I hope they find him and throw his butt in jail for a long time with no parole, Due to the fact he used and threatened people with a gun, even if the gun was empty, the bank people did not know that and feared for their lives. What a piece of crap this guy is.
