Suspects sought after man shot in hand during burglary

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance to locate two female Hispanic suspects and a vehicle involved in a burglary this morning.

The LVMPD call center received a call about 6 a.m. from a woman reporting that her husband had been shot in the arm by a suspect after he interrupted a burglary.

Arriving officers found the male victim, who had an apparent gunshot wound to his hand.

A preliminary investigation indicated the male victim and his wife drove to their son’s home at the 7200 block of Copper Road and interrupted a burglary in progress.

The victim saw a vehicle parked in the driveway with a female in the driver's seat. A second female exited from inside the residence and confronted the victims.

She entered the vehicle and grabbed a handgun, firing at the victim from inside the vehicle. The driver's side window was shattered and the victim was struck on the hand.

The suspects then fled the scene. The victim was transported to UMC and is in stable condition.

The driver of the suspect vehicle was described as a Hispanic female, late 20s with a muscular build. The passenger was described as a Hispanic female, late 20s with long black hair.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark gray sedan with shattered driver-side window.
