A suspect has been arrested in connection to the death of a man found inside a vehicle Monday morning.
Josue Nunez, 28, of Las Vegas was originally arrested on a fugitive warrant for escapee from house arrest. He has been additionally charged with murder with a deadly weapon, robbery with a deadly weapon, Burglary with a deadly weapon, and first-degree kidnapping with weapon, according to a release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The Clark County coroner’s office identified the victim as Steven Roy Blair, 31, of Las Vegas. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide.
Metro officers were sent to the 4000 block of Alameda Street around 4:30 a.m. in response to a possible burglary in progress. Arriving officers discovered a vehicle parked in front of the residence. When officers approached the vehicle they discovered the body of a deceased adult male in the back seat.
Patrol officers established a perimeter around the area, and a short time later located Nunez hiding in a shed nearby. He was detained, and homicide detectives responded to the scene.
