LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – The Clark County grand jury this morning indicted two men suspected of a carjacking and shooting at Metro officers in a high-speed pursuit.
Hugo Baldovinos, 21, and Roland Gabaldon, 17, face a variety of charges, including attempted murder with use of a deadly weapon; battery with a deadly weapon; and discharging a weapon out of a moving vehicle in relation to an incident on the 3600 block of West Sahara Avenue on Dec. 9.
Bail for Baldovinos was set at $2 million, while Gabaldon’s was at $350,000. Both are scheduled to return to court at 8 a.m. Feb. 5.
Also indicted today were:
Jose Luis Aguilar, 39, on five counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count resisting a public officer with a firearm. Aguilar was shot by Metro officers Dec. 16 on the 3200 block of University Avenue after he had threatened suicide.
According to Metro, as officers moved forward to take him into custody, Aguilar abruptly stood up, picked up the weapon, and pointed it at approaching officers. Two officers discharged their weapons, striking Aguilar in the lower extremities and causing him to fall to the ground.
Bail for Aguilar is set at $50,000. His next court appearance is 8 a.m. on Feb. 13.
Joseph Morgan, on one count each of interception of wire communication and unauthorized intrusion of privacy by listening device. Morgan is set to return to court at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 12.
