Suspect indicted in stabbing death near McDonald's

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – A Clark County grand jury this morning indicted a man suspected in a stabbing death in front of a McDonald’s on Sahara near Rancho.

Asa Funderburk, 31, is accused of killing Brandon Pickford on the morning of April 17. He is being held without bail. His next hearing is scheduled for 8:15 a.m. June 18.

Also indicted today were:

Henry Perez, 29, on one count of murder and possession of a firearm by an ex-felon; and three counts of discharging a firearm at or into a structure, vehicle, aircraft of watercraft. He is being held without bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for 8 a.m. June 17.

Michael Person, 30, on one count each of unauthorized possession of a portable telecommunications device by a prisoner; possession of a controlled substance by a state prisoner; unlawful use of encryption; conspiracy of commit unauthorized possession of a portable telecommunications device by a prisoner; and attempt to suborn perjury. Prosecutors said Person “continues to commit felonies while incarcerated.” His next court appearance is scheduled for 9 a.m. June 25.

Ryan Abbott, 35, on one count each of attempted murder with use of a deadly weapon; and battery with use of a deadly weapon resulting in substantial bodily harm. Bail was set at $500,000. His next hearing is set for 8:15 a.m. June 18.

Joe Lefler, on one count of trafficking a controlled substance. His next court appearance is set for 8:30 a.m. June 26.

Joshua Terry Brown-Rodriguez, on one count of battery constituting domestic violence; and preventing or dissuading a witness from testifying or producing evidence. Bail was set at $15,000. His next court appearance is set for 9 a.m. June 25.
