Daily domestic violence numbers startling in Nevada

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- One in four women will be the victim of domestic violence at some point in their lives.

This is what domestic violence looks like on any given day in Nevada, according to nearly all domestic violence programs in the Silver State:
  • Almost 500 victims were served in one day.
  • Nearly 300 of them stayed in emergency shelters or temporary housing.
  • 200 called help hot lines.
During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, News 3 will be looking into this crime and bringing you the stories of victims.
