LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) –
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is searching for clues in relation to a shooting death Monday night near St. Rose Parkway and Bermuda Road.
According to Metro news release, the LVMPD Dispatch Center received reports of gunshots just before 7:25 p.m. in the area of La Cienega Street and Neal Avenue.
One caller reported seeing an individual run into the desert area just after the shots were heard.
Patrol officers were dispatched to the area and located a male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the desert area about 100 feet off of the road. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.
The preliminary investigation initiated by the Homicide Section indicated the victim was having a conversation with two individuals near a dark-colored vehicle before the gunshots. No suspects have been identified, and the motive remains unknown.
This is the 29th homicide investigated by the LVMPD this year. The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
