LAUGHLIN (KSNV MyNews3.com) –
Metro is investigating a deadly stabbing in a residential area near Bruce Woodbury Drive and Needles Highway.
According to a news release, patrol officers were dispatched just after 12:50 a.m. Saturday to a residence in the 3200 block of Mirador to investigate a report of a stabbing. Arriving officers entered the residence and discovered a male suffering from an apparent stab wound.
The victim, identified as Frederick Meyer, 27, was transported to the Western Arizona Regional Medical Center in Bullhead City, Ariz., where he was later pronounced deceased.
The Mohave County (Ariz.) coroner’s office said Meyer died of a transection of the axillary artery due to stab wound in armpit due to assault with broken beer bottle.
The investigation initiated by Metro’s Homicide Section indicated two subjects had been involved in a verbal dispute that later turned physical. During the altercation, the victim was stabbed.
Although no arrests have been made, detectives have identified all parties involved, and there are no suspects outstanding.
At the conclusion of this investigation, the case will be submitted to the Clark County district attorney’s office for consideration of charges.
The investigation into this incident remains ongoing. This is the 64th homicide for 2014 investigated by Metro.
