LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – The man suspected in a homicide discovered Tuesday morning near McLeod and Hacienda is in police custody.

Metro Officer Jesse Roybal confirmed that Steven Woodard, 43, has been caught. Woodard is the suspect in the death of Richard Donald Hill, 91, of Las Vegas, whose body was found just after 6:50 a.m. on the 2800 block of Florence Avenue.

Officers say Hill was likely killed Monday night.

Metro Homicide detectives say they also believe Woodard attempted to harm his father and his father’s roommate in a residence on Cottonwood Place.
