LAS VEGAS -- Construction of an enclosed flood-control channel will force the closure of Buffalo Road between Russell Road and Patrick Lane from 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, through Dec. 24.
The closure will begin around 9 p.m. Sunday, at which time traffic will detoured around this area.
Drivers are advised to try to avoid this area during the construction in order to reduce the amount of traffic using the detours. Portable message boards will be placed near the construction area in advance of the closure.
This construction is part of a $6.9 million flood control project that stretches from Sunset Road to Hacienda Avenue. TAB Contractors, Inc. is contracted to complete the work, which is expected to be finished by late summer 2013.
