Car crash kills one on State Route 163 near Laughlin

LAUGHLIN, Nev. (Las Vegas Sun) -- A two-vehicle accident on State Route 163 near Laughlin on Friday killed one person and injured at least one other.

The accident happened around 4:10 p.m. in the eastbound lanes west of Christmas Tree Pass, Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Jeremie Elliott said.

He confirmed that one person was killed and another was airlifted to a local hospital. Elliott did not know the injury status of the person injured and did not know if anyone else had been hurt.
