LAS VEGAS -- Drivers heading north on Decatur Boulevard will lose a through lane at the Northern 215 Beltway for seven days beginning Monday because of ongoing construction.
At this time northbound Decatur traffic has one left-turn lane, one right-turn lane and two through lanes at the intersection with the Northern Beltway. On Monday morning, construction on the road will force the closure of one of the through lanes there.
Drivers are advised to use caution in this area and expect traffic delays due to the lane restriction. Message boards will be used to alert drivers of the temporary change.
This work is part of the larger road project that includes the construction new highway interchanges at Jones and Decatur boulevards, and a new bridge carrying Bradley Road over Beltway.
When finished, commuters will see improved traffic flow along the Northern 215 Beltway as there will be more than 7 miles of nonstop freeway from just east of U.S. 95 to Losee Road.
