LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – A 12-year-old is in critical condition this morning at UMC Trauma after being struck by a vehicle in the 500 block of North Lamb Boulevard.

Metro says the accident occurred just after 7:30 a.m. Police say the boy was running across the street in between two crosswalks when he was struck. The accident occurred in a 45 mph zone but next to a 35 mph school zone.

Metro says the driver did not appear impaired, nor was there any sign of speeding.

Lamb between Bonanza Road and Stewart Avenue is closed as the investigation continues.
