LAS VEGAS -- Beginning Fridday, February 3, a portion of Rainbow Blvd will be closed and U.S. 95 will be detoured in order to safely install overhead girders.

The Summerlin HOV Flyover Connector is a $26 million project funded by the Nevada Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration and Clark County to connect an HOV only roadway and bridge to Summerlin Parkway and U.S. 95.

The new bridge will allow commuters driving on U.S. 95 West on the HOV lanes an opportunity to safely connect to Summerlin Parkway. This project prevents cars driving in the HOV lane from having to weave across four lanes of traffic on U.S. 95 to connect to Summerlin Parkway, helping to improve safety and reduce crashes.
