LAS VEGAS - Emergency repairs by the Las Vegas Valley Water District will cause lane restrictions in east Las Vegas through Friday, Feb. 3.
The LVVWD will be conducting around-the-clock emergency repairs to move water system valves and abandon two underground concrete vault structures in the intersection of Nellis Boulevard and Sahara Avenue.
Temporary lane restrictions are in effect, and traffic delays are expected throughout the duration of the month-long repair work.
Monday, Jan. 2 – Wednesday, Jan. 18
Southbound Nellis Boulevard between Wyoming Avenue and Sahara Avenue is reduced to one travel lane. Northbound Nellis Boulevard will not be affected until Jan. 18.
Wednesday, Jan. 18 – Friday, Feb. 3
Nellis Boulevard:
Southbound Nellis Boulevard will be reduced to one travel lane between Wyoming Avenue and Sahara Avenue. Northbound Nellis Boulevard will be reduced to two travel lanes from Sahara Avenue to Wyoming Avenue.
Sahara Avenue:
Eastbound Sahara Avenue will be reduced to one travel lane between Arden Street and Nellis Boulevard. Westbound Sahara Avenue will be reduced to one travel between Winterwood Boulevard and Nellis Boulevard.
As alternative routes of travel, utilize Lamb, Hollywood, and Charleston boulevards, and Vegas Valley Drive.
The Las Vegas Valley Water District is the water provider for customers within the city of Las Vegas and areas of unincorporated Clark County.
