LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – Neighbors in the northwest part of the Las Vegas valley were shocked to see a cat perched up an old telephone poll for about two days.

They were more shocked to discover that they could not get any public agency – police, fire, animal rescue, power -- to come out to help rescue the animal.

Finally, a Good Samaritan figured out how to scale the 30-foot pole and, with a backpack, rescued the cat and safely returned to the ground.

News 3’s Denise Rosch will present the story on News 3 at 4 and 5.
