LAS VEGAS (Las Vegas Sun) -- Metro Police are searching for a man suspected of stabbing a motorist amid a carjacking attempt on Saturday.
Police describe the suspect as a 20- to 25-year-old Hispanic man, who is 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and weighs 170 to 180 pounds. He has a bald head and a tattoo on his upper left arm.
The man is suspected of attempting to rob a driver and passenger and steal their car as they were leaving the parking lot of a business in the 3700 block of Lake Mead Boulevard, near Pecos Road, police said. The victim drove away with the suspect hanging on the driver’s door, before crashing into a power pole, police said.
Police found the driver, suffering from a stab wound, and a passenger near Lake Mead Boulevard and Walnut Road. The driver was transported to University Medical Center; the passenger was uninjured.
