LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- A Kentucky family is turning to social media to help find their daughter. 20-year-old Jena Chisholm Disappeared two weeks ago, and some clues have surfaced that lead to Las Vegas.

Chisholm's parents say two big clues led them here to Las Vegas: they were able to track Jena on her iPhone, and a few days ago, her dog was found tied up outside a motel on Las Vegas Blvd.

Jena left home December 19, possibly driving her powder-blue Volkswagen Beetle with Kentucky plates. The number on her license plate is 316-MYB.

Tina Chisholm says her daughter had plans to visit Las Vegas after Christmas. But on December 19, Jena and her dog, Chamber, headed west in her convertible. She left a note saying she would be home the day after Christmas, but she never showed up.

Chisholm hopes the Facebook page "find Jena Chisholm" will help bring her daughter home. She says Jena was going through a difficult time in her life. Her relationship with her boyfriend recently ended and she had quit her job.

“I think she had a lot of disappointments at one time, and that was kind of messing with her,” Chisholm said. “I just feel like she wants to escape. She thought maybe if she had some time, She could figure things out. That's all I can figure.”

Anyone with information on Jena’s location is urged to call Metro police at 702-828-3111.
