LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- The driver of the vehicle that apparently hit and killed a 29-year-old Las Vegas man on Blue Diamond Road Friday morning has turned himself into the Nye County sheriff.

The Nevada Highway Patrol reported to News 3 this afternoon that the unnamed 55-year-old Pahrump resident knew he hit something about 5 a.m. Friday, stopped his 2002 Chevy Blazer, made a U-turn and didn't see anything. He then drove back to Pahrump and after seeing a story on the news about the fatal hit-and-run turned himself in Saturday morning.

Las Vegas Robert Charles Pyjas, 29, of Las Vegas, was killed when he was hit by a vehicle while on Blue Diamond Road about 300 feet east of Cimmaron, said NHP Trooper Loy Hixson.
