LAS VEGAS -- Several road closures will be in effect for Sunday’s Zappos.com Rock and Roll Las Vegas Marathon.
The marathon is scheduled to start at 3 p.m., and the half marathon will start at 4:30 p.m. The starting line will be located in northbound lanes of Las Vegas Boulevard in front of Mandalay Bay. The finish line will be located front of the Mirage and Caesars Palace.
The northbound lanes of Las Vegas Boulevard in front of Mandalay Bay from Russell Road to Hacienda Avenue will be closed at 12:30 p.m.
The area in front of Mirage and Caesars on Las Vegas Boulevard from Spring Mountain to Flamingo Roads will be closed from 10 a.m. Sunday to approximately 2 a.m. Monday morning.
All north and southbound travel lanes on Las Vegas Boulevard will be closed at 2 p.m. from Sunset Road to Stewart Avenue. East and westbound roads will close at 2:30 p.m.
Las Vegas Boulevard is scheduled to reopen at 7:30 p.m. in the areas of Sunset Road, Russell Road and Tropicana Avenue.
LVMPD personnel will be present during the event and will assist with road closures along the marathon route.
Additionally several other
roads will be closed along the marathon route.
