Fire at shuttered Las Vegas casino on Flamingo Road

LAS VEGAS -- Fire crews are battling a fire at shuttered casino east of the Strip.

What was once the Key Largo is going up in flames this afternoon.

The Clark County Fire Department is fighting a four-alarm fire at the vacant Hotel Key Largo, 377 E. Flamingo Road.

The fire was reported at approximately 3:05 p.m. Heavy smoke and flames were showing from the roof upon arrival. The building was built in 1974 and has been abandoned since approximately 2007.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

News 3's Tom Hawley is live in Sky 3 and Sergio Avila is at the scene with a report.

There is no information as to how the blaze began.

The casino-hotel on the corner of East Flamingo and Paradise roads has been closed since 2005.
