LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) --
Several dozen people are without power today after an early-morning fire knocked out electricity to a mobile home park on the northeast side of the valley.
The American Red Cross responded to a single mobile home fire at Meadows Trailer Park, 1286 S. Mojave near East Charleston. The fire was reported just before 4 a.m.
There are 23 units without power and water. Red Cross volunteers are assisting 45 to 50 people with up to 10 being children.
The manager of the park is seeking portable generators to get power restored to those with medical issues.
Several residents told News 3 that the fire was in a vacant trailer adjacent to the central power supply for the park. They say they have no idea when repairs will be made.
