LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- The Obama campaign sent the First Lady to Las Vegas to rally supporters to vote early on the heels of a campaign stop by the president.
Michelle Obama spoke at Orr Middle School this afternoon. Her message was simple: re-elect her husband.
She told an enthusiastic audience to help her win-over undecided voters. She also had a direct appeal to women whom Obama must win to stay in the White House.
“When it comes to understanding the lives of women...standing up for our rights and opportunities...we know that my husband will also have our backs,” Michelle Obama said.
Polls show the President with a narrow lead in Nevada but the race, nationally, is very close. That fact reflected in a very fired-up first lady, who knows every vote matters.
News 3's Elizabeth Donatelli spoke with people in the crowd today and has a report.
President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Gov. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have visited the Las Vegas valley within the past 10 days.
